COOKING A PERFECT FREEKEH

INSTRUCTION


  1. Rinse 2 cups of Firegrain® Freekeh in cold water. Soak for 15 minutes.

  2. Add Freekeh and 1 cup of water or stock of your choice

  3. Bring to boil and then cover and simmer on low heat, for 20-25 minutes or until all liquid have been absorbed. (gently, stir occasionally or run a fork through the Freekeh every few minutes 5-6 times while simmering)

  4. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.


Freekeh to liquid (water or stock) ratio 1:1 e.g. 1 cup or 1 dl of Firegrain® Freekeh need 1 cup or 1 dl of water or stock.


NOTE: Additional liquid or Stock can be used depending on the desired texture.
